who was taken way too soon
Between the blocks
The finger paint and the teddy bears
There stood a gunman, on a mission to make
nightmares
Then another story hit the airwaves
About a concert
Where the country singers sang
Between the cowboy hats, the boots and the
blackjack
There stood a gunman, another tragic attack

When dreams lay in pieces on the floor

Such a heavy price to pay,
